Bio: DJ Mike Negron, originally from the Bronx, has been involved in the New York club scene for over ten years. His interest in djing was sparked very young, after obtaining his first set of turntables when he was only 11 years old. His knowledge of music ranges from Latin salsa to hip hop to house; all of which have greatly influenced his unique and innovative remixing style within the house music genre.
Mike’s first gig in New York was a residency spot at Expo on Sunday nights. Then he began spinning at Tunnel, where he continued to develop his remixing skills during the “Turning Point Party”. It was during these afterhours parties that he began building and maintaining a very large fan base. After Tunnel closed, Mike began doing guest appearances at Twilo, which led to guest spots at other large venues such as: Sound Factory, Carbon, Exit2, The China Club, Centrofly, Copa Cabana, Discotheque, Show, Spirit, Ikon, and Crobar. He has always been committed to building a loyal crowd by remaining personally involved in weekly promotions regardless of what venue he is spinning for. gigs: DJ Mike Negron has swept the underground afterhours scene for four years, playing for extended hours in venues such as: Loft 47 West, Bauhaus, Legz Diamondz, Café Neva, SX 137, the Stonewall, Anju, Blur, Café De Ville, and Eleven.
